*All Aerobics classes and Yoga are held year round.

*There is no additional charge for members to participate in Aerobics, although rates do apply for Yoga.

*All non-members will need to purchase an aerobics pass at the front desk. The pass is good for 6 months from the date of purchase.

 

BODY SCULPT: a non-aerobic total body work out using weights and resistance tools to build strength and muscle tone while increasing flexibility.

 

CARDIO SCULPT: an excellent sports conditioning class combining strength and endurance skills on the step with low weights. Can be easily adjusted to all fitness levels.

 

FREESTYLE CARDIO: land class including a variety of dance moves, kickboxing and traditional freestyle cardio (No step in this class).

 

STEP: a cardio class utilizing the Reebok Step with simple and complex choreography.

 

FIT BALL: This class is a great strengthening class incorporating Pilates and weight training on Fit Balls.

 

CIRCUIT TRAINING: A cardio class combining intense Cardio training with multi-station exercises.

 

 

 

 

The YMCA is now a licensed Gliding Facility and beginning in September, 2 new classes will be added to the Fall Schedule. Gliding is a unique sliding disc exercise system that allows for smooth, fluid graceful movements targeting multiple muscles and engaging core stabilization throughout the range of motion. Gliding for the active older adult is a unique sliding disc exercise system that allows for smooth fluid graceful movements engaging core stabilization and balance throughout the range of motion using a chair for seated and standing support. There will always be schedules available at the Front Desk of the YMCA and also in the Aerobic Room. Classes will be posted for the current month with the instructors who are teaching each class indicated on the schedule. 

 

Yoga

 

The Yoga classes being offered are a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. Participants will learn yoga postures (asanas), breathing and relaxation techniques to improve flexibility and strength, reduce stress and gain greater sense of well being. No prior experience is needed for either class. It is best to wear comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of movement. The YMCA has mats to use or bring your own. Please bring a throw  blanket or towel.
