FAMILY AND GROUP PROGRAMS:
Family Swims:
Sundays are designated as Family Swim Time from 1—4 PM. This is a great afternoon activity for the entire family. Families need not only come on Sundays. Anytime that is marked Open Swim on the pool schedule can be family time in the YMCA pool.
Healthy Lifestyle for the Family:
Wellness and a healthy environment are important to us all and a Family Exercise Plan may be just the thing to help your family create and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Bring the whole family to the YMCA and work together to accomplish your fitness and healthy living goals. Our staff will help you develop a plan that is right for your family dynamics taking into consideration the number and age of family members, your current fitness levels, and time available each week to exercise at the YMCA.
Activate America:
Activate America® is the YMCA's bold approach to directly address our nation's growing health crisis. Our mission compels us to transform the way we work, both internally and externally, to support all kids, adults, families and communities in their pursuit of well-being in spirit, mind and body. In addressing America's unprecedented health crisis, the YMCA is best equipped to influence change in individuals and in our communities to proactively address this health crisis, which is central to the achievement of our mission.
In some ways, Activate America® is a reflection back to our earliest years in defining individual health as the union of spirit, mind and body. And it builds on the significant role we played in defining health and well-being starting in the 1960s. In order to reflect the bold vision reflected in Activate America®:
1.We (the YMCA) will support healthy lifestyles by reaching out and engaging all those who seek well-being of spirit, mind and body.
2. We (the YMCA) will create and sustain healthier com munities by actively participating in our communities and connecting our networks and resources to influence decisions that impact health.
