GROUP EXERCISE

For those who don’t want to exercise alone, the group setting is perfect for getting a great workout, meeting new friends, and building relationships as well as muscle. Our instructors will see that you understand the exercises and get a great workout all while feeling welcomed and challenged. We have a variety of classes to choose from so you pick the ones that best suit your fitness goals.

 

GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES:

All classes listed below are offered at the Y - many classes run continuously while others are offered on  a six-week program or seasonally. Call the Y to find out!

 

MEMBER BENEFIT - the following classes are FREE for Y Members:

AOA (ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS) - for those in the AAA program, Y Members or SilverSneakers—similar to Silver Sneakers land fitness classes.

INTERVAL TRAINING - athletic circuit workout that includes plyometrics, agility training, boot camp type conditioning and functional fitness.

CARDIO SCULPT - cardio workout using the Reebok Step, hand-held weights and other fitness tolls to get your heart rate up while toning your muscles - suits anyone’s fitness levels.

INSTRUCTOR’S CHOICE - fitness workout includes step, kickboxing, fitball, or many other formats depending on the instructor - surprise you each time.

  BODY BLAST - This six-week program was developed to strengthen and shape your muscles using a barbell system and incorporates specific repetitions timed with popular, upbeat music.         

  Expect Moderate to Intense workouts. Separate sessions are offered several times per week.

  Tuesdays 6:00 - 7:00 PM

 

ABS AND GLUTES - Just as the name implies, you will alternate focus on your abdominals and glutes to strengthen, tone and shape these often neglected areas. Low impact and suitable for any fitness level.

Mondays 6:00 - 7:00 PM

POWER HOUR - This six-week program is an intense mix of high-energy exercises using a variety of equipment and body-weight moves to tone and strengthen the entire body. Suitable for any fitness level. Expect to work hard and sweat!
